The King of Dakar.
Thierry Sabine, mastermind and founder of the Paris - Dakar rally. In 1977 during a motorcycle endurance race, he conjured up the idea for the rally after he got lost in the Libyan Desert for several days and almost died from sun exposure. While being lost he experienced severe solitude and was seduced by the vast Desert causing his need to go back.
